Cherry Creek Man Indicted for Assault

U.S. Attorney Brendan V. Johnson announced that a Cherry Creek man has been indicted by a federal grand jury for Assaulting a Federal Officer.

Kaleb Earl Hollow Horn, age 25, was indicted by a federal grand jury on July 18, 2012. He appeared before U.S. Magistrate Judge Veronica Duffy on July 25, 2012, and pled not guilty to the indictment. The maximum penalty upon conviction is 20 years' imprisonment. The charge is merely an accusation, and Hollow Horn is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

The investigation is being conducted by the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribal Law Enforcement Services. Assistant U.S. Attorney Kathryn N. Rich is prosecuting the case. Hollow Horn was released on bond pending trial. A trial date has not yet been set.
